The Newcomers

Every team is a newcomer to the US Youth Soccer National Championship since this is the youngest age group available. This results in each team not knowing a whole lot about each other considering the magnitude of national exposure simply can't match that of those in the older age groups. FC Golden State PDA 01 (CA-S) catches the eye because they are the only team that has won back-to-back region titles, but has yet to earn a state title at the ever competitive Cal South National Cup. Recently formed Baltimore Celtic Dynasty (MD) put on an impressive defensive display at the 2014 US Youth Soccer Region I Championship by not allowing a goal all tournament. Their defense will certainly be put to the test as the Under 13 Boys group features a Waza FC 01 Juniors (MI) team that scored 25 goals at the US Youth Soccer Region II Championship including 7-0 victories in both the semifinals and finals. Rounding out the group is a GSA 01 Premier (GA) team that can light up the scoreboard as well. GSA's biggest threat is Kendall Edwards, who scored eight goals in the US Youth Soccer Region III Championship.

How they got to Nationals

Baltimore Celtic Dynasty (MD) won its first Maryland State Cup by refusing to give up a goal in the knockout stages, and ultimately punched a ticket to the 2014 Region I Championships with a 3-0 victory over Bethesda Blue (MD). At the US Youth Soccer Region I Championships, Baltimore continued with its theme of stiff defense by not allowing any goals in the group stage or knockout round. Baltimore defeated BRYC Elite (VA) in the finals 1-0 to secure a spot in the US Youth Soccer National Championship.
