Group A

The Veterans
The Under 14 Boys age group includes two teams that competed in the 2013 US Youth Soccer National Championship in Raiders FC (IL) and United FA 00 Elite (GA). Raiders FC finished fourth at nationals last year with a 0-2-1 record. Raiders only tie came against United FA, who finished a little better in third place with a 0-1-2 record. Both teams will look to improve their performance in a wide open field. Both teams finished atop their respective US Youth Soccer National League Divisions with Raiders sporting a 5-1-1 record in the blue division, and United FA finishing with a 6-1-0 record in the red division. Raiders failed to make it out of the Illinois State Cup whereas United FA defended both its region and state title.

The Newcomers
There are six newcomers to the Under-14 Boys age group, which leaves a lot of potential and mystery. The other two National League representatives are CSA 00 Lobos Rush Premier (TN) and Scorpions SC Boston (MA). Scorpions will look to Joseph Morrison to continue where he left off in the National League, where he tied for the second most goals with six. CSA Lobos was the only team in the National League to not lose a game, but wasn't able to repeat their title in the Tennessee State Cup after losing in the finals. The only team with two state titles is Sporting KC Academy (KS), who had a rough time in its first National League appearance with an eighth place finish in the red division. However Sporting KC rebounded by defending its state title, and then going on to win the US Youth Soccer Region II Championship, previously held by Raiders FC. Group B teams will have to be wary of US Youth Soccer Region IV Champ, Real Colorado National 99/00's offensive potential.  Real Colorado put up 22 goals in six games at the Region IV Championship, and finished with the top three scorers in the age group. Arlington SA Eagles (VA) had a convincing knockout round with a 3-0 win in the semifinals and 2-0 win in the finals, and will look to continue that success to the National Championship. Finally, Inner City Mana 00 (S-TX) finishes off the field as the Region III Representative after losing to United FA 1-0 in the Region III finals. However that was one of only two goals the South Texas state champs surrendered in the entire tournament.
