Under 14 Girls Full Schedule

Region I | Region II | Region III | Region IV | National League Blue 1 |

Group A

The Defending Champ
Legends FC 99 (CA-S) comes into the 2014 US Youth Soccer National Championships as the youngest defending champ, and will look to continue a season of title defenses. Legends already defended its US Youth Soccer Region IV Championship in Albuquerque, N.M., and will look to do the same in Germantown. National Team prospect and 2013 Best XI player Denae Antoine combines with Alexandra Jacquez and Emily Knous to form a potent offense that scored the most goals this National League season, while a defense featuring Region ODP pool player Janae Lee only surrendered two goals in the 2014 Region IV Championships.

The Veteran
NEFC Elite (MA) is the only other team besides Legends to return to the National Championships in the Under 14 Girls age group. NEFC tied for second in group play at the 2013 National Championships and failed to advanced to the finals off a tie breaker. The Massachusetts squad is a two-time US Youth Soccer Region I Champion, and has two players that have received National Team attention in Taylor Kofton and Marykate Mcguire.

The Newcomers
Like the Under-14 Boys age group, six of the teams in the Under 14 Girls group will be fresh faces. Cleveland FC (OH-N) has won four straight Ohio North State Cup titles, but was able to win the US Youth Soccer Region II Championship this year. Tophat 18 Gold (GA) took first place in the National League Blue Division with a 5-0-2 record and a 18-to-6 goal differential. Tophat features six players that are National Team prospects in Raegan Kelley, Rachel Jones, Ella Shamburger, Cameron Hall, Olivia Dedels and Tala Staude. Carlsbad Elite 99 put on an impressive defensive display in the National League Red Division by surrendering only three goals in seven games en route to a 6-0-1 record and a first place finish. Carlsbad also scored 15 goals, and the only team in the Red Division with more was Ponte Vedra SC Storm 99/00 (FL) with 18. The National League Red Division runner up was also the runner up in the 2014 Region III Championship to Sting 00 Flanagan (N-TX), who despite going 1-1-1 in group play, won 1-0 in the quarterfinals, 5-1 in the semifinals before defeating Ponte Vedra 2-0 in the finals. Finishing off the group is Region IV Representative La Roca Premier PO (UT), who lost to Legends in the Region IV Championship final. La Roca went up 1-0 in that match before Emily Knous tied the score, and ultimately netted the game winner for Legends.
