Region I: NEFC Elite (MA)

 
How they got to Nationals
 
Despite falling in the semifinals of the Massachusetts State Cup, NEFC qualified for the Region I Championships with its second place finish in the Region I Premier League after losing to World Class FC 99 (World Class would qualify through Eastern New York's State Cup). NEFC went 2-0-1 in group play without allowing a goal at the Region I Championships. NEFC then overcame the odds to beat World Class 2-1 in the Region I semifinals and go on to beat the winner of the Massachusetts State Cup, FC Stars of Mass, 1-0 to punch their ticket to Nationals.

  • Played for both St. Bonaventure and Providence College. Also, played in Massachusetts Youth Soccer ODP.

How they got to Nationals

Michigan Hawks 00 won its State Cup scoring six goals while allowing only one. The Hawks also dominated in Midwest Regional League play scoring 27 goals and allowing only three to top its division. At the Region II Championships, Hawks advanced out of group play with three wins in three games, and then cruised through the semifinal and final rounds scoring eight goals and allowing none to punch its ticket to the 2013 US Youth Soccer National Championships.

Hawks player Alexa Spaanstra topped the Region II Championships scoring chart with 8 goals.

How they got to Nationals

Liverpool advanced to the Region III Championships by winning the North Texas State Cup with a 2-1 win (The only goal allowed by them all competition). In group play at Regionals, Liverpool went 3-0-0 scoring 11 goals and allowing just one. Liverpool won 3-0 in the semifinals, and then defeated Oklahoma Football Club 00 (OK) 3-2 in the finals.

How they got to Nationals

Legends FC 99 advanced to the Region IV Championships via the Far West Regional League. After going undefeated in group play, Legends won 1-0 in its semifinal matchup and then 3-2 against Arsenal Colorado Gold 99/00 (CO) in the final to punch its ticket to the National Championships.
