Region I: YMS Xplosion 98 (PA-E)

 

How they got to Nationals

YMS Xplosion 98 got knocked out in the semifinals of the Region I Premier League, and had to advance to Regionals through the Eastern Pennsylvania State Cup. During State Cup play, YMS only allowed one goal while tallying 14 goals through four games. YMS advanced to the final of the Regional Championships where they defeated PWSI Courage 98 Red (VA) in penalty kicks to repeat as Regional Champions and advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

Region II: NSA Rockets (IL)

 

How they got to Nationals

NSA Rockets flew through the Illinois State Cup on the way to the Region II Championships. At the Region II Championships, NSA advanced to the semifinals undefeated through group play. In the semifinals, it took them penalty kicks to advance to the final match. NSA then defeated Kings Hammer Academy Red 4-0 (KY) to earn its place in the 2013 US Youth Soccer National Championships.

NSA's Nikki Hernandez finished Region II Championships tied for first in goal scoring with four goals while teammate Simone Gardner finished with three.

Region III: Tophat 17 Gold (GA)

 

How they got to Nationals

Tophat 17 Gold proceeded through the Georgia State Cup only allowing two goals through five games while scoring 21 of its own. At the Region III Championships, Tophat advanced through pool play without a loss. Wins of 2-1 and 1-0 got Tophat through semifinals and finals respectively to become Regional Champions and advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

How they got to Nationals

Eastside FC 98 Red advanced to the Region IV Championships as a State Cup wildcard. Eastside secured just enough points to make it to elimination rounds where it got 1-0 and 2-1 victories to advance to the final. In the final, Eastside faced a La Roca (UT) team that it had tied previously in group play 0-0. Eastside notched a 3-0 win to complete an underdog run to advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.
