Region I: Empire Revolution Syracuse 97/98 (NY-W)

 
How they got to Nationals
 
Empire Revolution advanced to the Region I Championships by winning the New York West State Cup. Empire went through group play at Regional undefeated while scoring 12 goals and allowing just two. Empire reached the finals where they beat PWSI Courage 97 Red (VA) 2-1 to advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

How they got to Nationals

Ambassadors FC got through group play of the Ohio North State Cup scoring nine goals and only allowing one. Ambassadors continued its strong group play with a commanding elimination round performance, scoring 11 while allowing only one goal to advance to the Region II Championships. Ambassadors scoring prowess continued on its way to a Region II title, scoring 20 goals and allowing just one through the entire tournament. Ambassadors FC now returns to the US Youth Soccer National Championships after falling short last year in its search for the title.

How they got to Nationals

Tennessee SC 16 qualified for the Region III Championships by winning the Tennessee State Cup for the fourth year in a row, while scoring 14 goals and conceding none. At Regionals, Tennessee SC finished second in its pool with the one loss to pool leaders Tampay Bay United 97 Premier (FL). Tennessee would win 3-1 and 4-0 in the quarterfinals and semifinals to advance to the final game against Tampa Bay United. Its only loss would be avenged as Tennessee SC defeated Tampa Bay 3-1 to defend its Regional title and return to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

How they got to Nationals

Boise Nationals Italia advanced to the Region IV Championships by way of winning the Idaho State Cup. At Regionals, Boise finished second in its pool with a record of 1-1-1, but advanced to the finals with 3-1 and 1-0 wins in the quarterfinals and semifinals. Boise lost in the finals 3-0 against a Carlsbad Elite 97/98 (CA-S) team who hadn't let in a goal all tournament. Boise will advance to the National Championships as the Region IV representatives, as Carlsbad had already qualified through the National League.

National League Blue 1: MSC Coyotes Green (MD)

 

How they got to Nationals

MSC Coyotes Green finished 5-1-1 in the National League Blue Division to tie for the division lead. They advance as the top team from the group with a head-to-head tiebreak over Tampa Bay United (FL). The Coyotes also topped the Region I Premier League and finished as champions in the Maryland State Cup. Coyotes advanced to the semifinals of Region I Championships, but lost to PWSI Courage 97 Red (VA). MSC will be looking to defend its 2012 US Youth Soccer National Championship.

How they got to Nationals

Tampa Bay United finished second in its National League division after tying in points with MSC Coyotes but losing to them during league play. After qualifying for the Region III Championships through the Southern Premier League, Tampa Bay reached the finals but lost to Tennessee SC 16, 1-3. With the second place National League finish, Tampa Bay advances to the National Championships.

Carlsbad Elite went undefeated through the National League with 25 goals for and only five against. Qualifying for Region IV Championships via the Far West Regional League, Carlsbad went through the tournament undefeated, scoring 19 goals while allowing none to take the regional title. Carlsbad will represent the National League as the Red Division winner at the National Championships.

How they got to Nationals

Eclipse punched its ticket to the US Youth Soccer National Championships with a second place finish in the Red Division of the National League, with a record of 5-1-1. After winning its State Cup, Eclipse failed to advance out of group stages at the Region II Championships. Eclipse will look to capture the US Youth Soccer National Championship as National League division runner-up.
