Region I: Toms River FC Elite United 96/97 (NJ)

 
How they got to Nationals
By winning the New Jersey State Cup, Toms River FC Elite United 96/97 advanced to the Region I Championships. Toms River scored 14 goals in group play while allowing only four. Toms River then beat local side Bayside FC Bolts (RI) 3-0 in the semifinals and then defeated PSC Baltimore (MD) 3-2 in the final.

NSA Jaguars won its fourth Illinois State Cup in five years to advance to the Region II Championships. NSA went 3-0 in group play including a 5-1 win over the National League Blue Divsion second place team and 2012 national finalist Kings Hammer Academy (OH-S). NSA would then defeat the Midwest Regional League champions Eclipse Elite 96-97 (IL) 3-0 in the semifinals and won the final 1-0 over Futura FC 96/97 Academy Premier (MO).

How they got to Nationals

97 Louisiana Fire Navy won its third straight Louisiana State Cup to move on to the Region III Championships. Louisiana Fire would go 3-0 in group play scoring 11 goals and allowing only three. A 3-0 win in the quarterfinals would send them to face two-time defending regional champions Sting 97 (TX-N). Louisiana defeated Sting 97 2-1 and then won its finals match 1-0 to become the first Louisiana girls team to win a Region III Championship and advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

How they got to Nationals

Bay Oaks Botafogo 96 won its second straight Cal North State Championship to advance to the 2013 Region IV Championships. Bay Oaks would advance through its pool with a 2-1 record with its only loss coming to 2012 National Champions Legends FC (CA-S). Bay Oaks advanced through the quarterfinals with a 3-0 win and then fell to National League Blue Division Winners DMCV Sharks Elite (CA-S) in the semifinals. With both the finals teams being National League winners, Bay Oaks had the chance to play a third place game with Carlsbad Elite (CA-S). Winning the third place game, Bay Oaks will represent Region IV at the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

How they got to Nationals

DMCV Sharks topped its National League division with an undefeated 6-0-1 record. The Sharks won its second straight Cal-South State Cup, and then picked up its only loss of the Region IV Championships in the final to Legends FC (CA-S) 1-2. Even with the loss, Sharks will advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships via their National League finish.

Kings Hammer won its State Cup, but failed to advance out of group play at the Region II Championships finishing with a record of 1-1-1. Kings Hammer returns to the National Championships via the National League, where in 2012 they were national finalists.

How they got to Nationals

Legends FC finished second in its National League group with a record of 5-1-1 while allowing only one goal. Legends qualified for the Region IV Championships through Far West Regional League play. After topping its pool in group play, Legends defeated fellow Far West Regional League representative Carlsbad Elite (CA-S) in the semifinals to advance to the championship match. Legends would defeat National League Blue Division leaders DMCV Sharks Elite (CA-S), 2-1 to win its teams' first Regional Championship. Legends advance to the National Championships via the National League and will look to defend its title.
