Region I: Beadling Thunder (PA-W)

 
How they got to Nationals
 
Beadling Thunder won their third Pennsylvania West State Cup in five years to advance to the Region I Championships. Beadling went undefeated through group play without allowing a goal to advance to the semifinals. Beadling would defeat ISA Sting 95 (NY-E) 3-1 and then Aztec Soccer 3-1 in the finals to win its first Region I title, and advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

How they got to Nationals

Iowa City Alliance - Heatwave won its third straight Iowa State Cup to reach the Region II Championships. Iowa City went 3-0-0 in group play allowing just two goals while scoring eight. Iowa City would defeat SLSG Premier Navy (MO) 4-1 in the semifinals and then beat Academy United 95/96 (IL) 3-1 in overtime to become the first team in Iowa history to advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

Rose Ripslinger scored an impressive nine goals to top the goal scoring chart in the Under-17 age group at the Region II Championships.

First Iowa Team (boys or girls) to qualify for the National Championships

Rose Ripslinger is the only State Gatorade Player of the year in the history of the award to secure the honor three times. She received the Iowa Player of the year in 2010 as a freshman, 2011 as a sophomore and this year, 2012, as a junior.

How they got to Nationals

AHFC 96 won the South Texas State Cup to advance to the Region III Championships. AHFC topped its group with a record of 2-0-1 while allowing only one goal. A 1-0 quarterfinal win and then a 2-1 win over Southern Premier League Central winners, MFC Fire 96 Girls Premier (MS), advanced AHFC to the finals. AHFC posted a 1-0 victory over Tampa Bay United Premier (FL) to win its first Region III title and to advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

How they got to Nationals

Fram Premier qualified for the Region IV Championships via the Far West Regional League. Fram swept through group play with a 3-0-0 record scoring 15 goals and allowing just one goal. Two 1-0 victories against Legends 95 (CA-S) and Beach FC Ingrassia (CA-S) would get FRAM to the final match. FRAM would defeat Sparta 96 Premier (UT) 3-1 in the final match to advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

How they got to Nationals

Cleveland United White won the Ohio North State Championship this year to advance to Regionals. After winning it's group at the Region II Championships while scoring 12 goals in the process, Cleveland United White fell in the semifinals. Even with the loss Cleveland United will proceed to the National Championships with its 6-0-1 record in the National League Blue Division. Cleveland United White allowed only one goal in the highly competitive National League while topping its divsion not only in points but in goals as well with 16.

Match Fit Beat won their third State Cup in four years as they advanced to the Region I Championships. Match Fit had a tough time at the Region I Championships going 1-0-2 through group play. Despite its Region I performance, Match Fit will advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships finishing second in the National League Blue Division, scoring 11 goals and allowing only three.

How they got to Nationals

BRYC 95 Elite won its second straight Virginia State Cup to advance to the Region I Championships. BRYC wouldn't repeat as Region I champions as it failed to advance out of the group stage with a 1-1-1 record. BRYC will look to defend its National Championship title as it will still advance to the National Championships via the National League. BRYC won the Red Division, finishing undefeated with a 6-0-1 while scoring an incredible 20 goals and allowing just three.

How they got to Nationals

PDA Ginga didn't advance out of the New Jersey State Cup but they will advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships via a second place finish in the Red Division of the National League. PDA finished National League with a 3-1-3 record and finished with 12 goals, good enough for second best in their division.
