How they got to Nationals

For the second straight season, Real Jersey FC (NJ) traveled to Spotsylvania, Va., and won the Eastern Regional Championship. The New Jersey side did not concede a single goal this year at regionals, as it outscored its opponents, 12-to-0. In doing so, Real Jersey showed an ability to play with a lead and hold off opponents to earn victories in close games.

How they got to Nationals

After going a perfect 3-0-0 in group play in Indiana, Sporting BV SKC Academy 04 (KS) won in penalties in the semifinals before finishing as the Midwest Regional finalist. Sporting won a key 3-2 Group D game against a local Indianapolis side that eventually made the difference in advancing to the knockout stages. Following its shootout win in the semifinals, the Kansas side came up short against National League winner Nationals Union 04 Black (MI), but Sporting did enough up until that point to move on as the regional representative.

How they got to Nationals

A 2-1 win over Oklahoma Energy FC 04 Central (OK) in the Southern Regional Championships final allowed VHSC Steamers 04 Black (AL) to punch its ticket to Frisco. The Oklahoma goal in the final was the lone tally that the Steamers conceded during regionals, as the Alabama side’s strong defensive efforts allowed it to capture the title. With four of its six games in North Carolina decided by a goal or less, VHSC should be prepared for some close games at Nationals.

How they got to Nationals

A high-scoring attack helped ECFC Salinas United 04 (CA-N) go undefeated in Hawaii and claim the Far West Regional Championship. The Cal North State Champion scored three or more goals in all six of its games at regionals, including four in a 4-1 win over LV Revolution FC Gunners 04 (NV) in the final. The potent ECFC attack resulted in it accounting for three of the top four scorers in the age group as it overpowered its competitors.

How they got to Nationals

USA MP

How they got to Nationals

After dropping its first National League game, USA/MP 04 Premier (SC) went undefeated over its final six games of the season to finish second in a very tight Blue Division race. The South Carolina side won several close games and held its opponents to a goal or less in all but one National League game. USA/MP also won the South Carolina State Cup and advanced to the Southern Regional Championships quarterfinals, so it brings plenty of league and tournament experience to Nationals.
