How they got to Nationals
Philadelphia SC Coppa Swarm (PA-E) earned four consecutive shutout wins on its way to win the US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships. The only goal that the Eastern Pennsylvania side allowed was in the regional final match, but that didn’t stop Philadelphia SC from walking away with the 2-1 victory against SJEB Rush 04 Academy (NJ). Philadelphia SC tallied 18 goals throughout the entire event and will look to continue the scoring sprees in Frisco, Texas.

How they got to Nationals
Libertyville FC 1974 (IL) showed that it can handle competition after defeating National League Blue Division Runner-Up, Michigan Jaguars 04 Green (MI) in the US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships final game. Libertyville went undefeated in group play and made its way into the final with a close 1-0 victory in the semifinal. Despite going down a goal in the regional championship match, Libertyville scored two second half goals to take the title. The Illinois side warmed up for the regional event by going 3-3-1 in the 2017-18 National League season, so Libertyville will know what to expect at the National Championships.

How they got to Nationals
Southern Premier League Wild Card FC Dallas Blue (TX-N) punched its ticket to the National Championships after claiming the US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championships crown. FC Dallas made it out of group play with a 2-0-1 record, scoring nine goals and allowing two. The North Texas side had to work in the semifinal and final rounds as it took kicks from the mark to defeat D’Feeters 04 Voutier (TX-N) in the semifinal and an overtime win against Sunrise Sting 2004 Black (FL) in the final.

How they got to Nationals
Arsenal FC (CA-S) took the US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships title to earn a spot at the National Championships. Through six games, the Cal South side maintained a strong defensive line and did not allow a single goal. After earning a 2-0-1 record in group play, Arsenal FC’s tie was a scoreless draw with Seattle United Copa (WA), and the two teams met again in the final match. This time, the game needed a winner, and a late goal for Arsenal FC earned the team the regional crown.

CDA Premier 04 (KY) worked hard to go undefeated in seven games during the 2017-18 National League season, earning an early ticket to the National Championships. The Kentucky side tallied the most goals in the 14U age group, scoring 19 goals and allowing five. Although CDA Premier already had a ticket, the team attempted to make a run for the Midwest Regional Championships, but CDA went 1-0-2 in the preliminary round, and a fellow National League contender won the group. Regardless, CDA will look to use its undefeated run at National League as momentum to do well at Nationals.

How they got to Nationals
Michigan Jaguars 04 Green (MI) came in second of the National League Blue Division to claim a spot at the National Championships. The team accumulated a 5-1-1 record, scoring 15 goals and allowing four. Michigan Jaguars came close to defeating the Blue Division winner CDA Premier, but the team couldn’t catch up, falling 3-2 in the first match of the season. While the Michigan side also battled it out at the Midwest Regional Championships, the team came in second once again. Nevertheless, Michigan Jaguars heads to the National Championships with quality experience after its National League season and run at regionals.

As the National League Red Division winner, Nationals Union 04 Black (MI) heads into the National Championships, looking to prove that it can continue the performance. The Michigan side finished 6-0-1 in the season and tallied 12 goals while only allowing two. Most of the games were close battles and decided by either one or two goals, yet the team knows how to get the job done. Nationals Union’s only tie came in the final game against Arlington SA (VA), who ended up taking second place in the division. It's possible that the two teams could face each other again in Frisco, Texas.

How they got to Nationals
Arlington SA (VA) took second place in the National League Red Division to have a shot at the National Championships. The Virginia side was one of three teams in the age group do not have a loss on its record as the team went 5-0-2. Arlington SA was also tied with Red Division winner Nationals Union in least goals allowed with two, and the team generated 11 goals over the course of the season. Arlington SA just missed out on a trip to the 2017 National Championships when it fell to National Finalist SDFC Yellow (NJ) in the Eastern Regional Championships. The team will look to use its regional and National League experience to go for the National title.
