How they got to Nationals

After finishing 4th in its National League Division, OBGC Rangers needed to advance to the Nationals through the Eastern Regional Championships. OBGC earned a 14-to-2 goal spread in group play over its opponents to send it through to the semifinals. The Maryland side earned a big 6-0 win in the semifinals and then won a tight, 1-0, final against Wall Elite cosmos (NJ) to punch its ticket to the National Championships.

How they got to Nationals

After qualifying for Regionals through the Midwest Regional League, Galaxy 2001 Blue (IL) finished top of Group C in the Midwest Regional Championships with a 2-001 record while averaging 4 goals a game. Galaxy defeated Javanon 2001 Black (KY), 4-1, to send itself through the final where they met up against National League Blue champs, SLSG Elite 01 (MO). Galaxy lost in the final but go through to the Nationals to represent the Midwest Regional Championships as SLSG had already qualified via the National League.

How they got to Nationals

PPA KSA 01 Pro-Profile (GA) finished five points shy of the National League White Division leaders so the Georgia side headed to Regionals via the Southern Premier League for a second chance to punch its ticket. KSA went undefeated through group play and then earned a big 6-0 victory in the quarterfinals. KSA's toughness was tested in the semifinals where they met Group B winners Lobos Rush 01 Premier (TN). Team leading goal scorer, Deedson Vixamar scored the game's lone goal to send KSA through to the final. After going down in just the third minute of the game to Solar 01 Stricker (TX-N), KSA battled back to level the score just four minutes later. Deedson Vixamar played hero again, scoring late in the second half to punch KSA's ticket to the National Championships.

How they got to Nationals

Santa Barbara Soccer Club (CA-S) topped its group at the Far West Regional Championships thanks to a tie in the final game of group play to clinch first. Santa Barbara needed kicks from the mark to win its quarterfinal game after conceding a late second half goal but rebounded to secure a clean sheet and a 2-0 win in the semifinals against WCFC Armour 2001 (CA-S). Santa Barbara carried its momentum from its semifinal win into the final to help propel itself to a 4-1 win over Group D winners LVSA 01 Red (NV). The win sends Santa Barbara on the team's first trip to Nationals.

How they got to Nationals

After a successful 2017 campaign that saw Tampa Bay United (FL) claim the 16U Boys National Championship, the Florida team is back for a chance to defend its title. In its first trip back to the National League since the 2014-15 season where it finished dead last in its group, Tampa Bay reversed its fortunes and topped the National League Black Division with a 4-0-2 record. Tampa Bay claimed an important three points on the last day, while the team nipping at its heels dropped points with a tie to boost Tampa into first place in the Division. Tampa Bay will head into the finals as the team to beat with every team looking to knock off the reigning champs/

National League Blue: SLSG ELite 01 (MO)

 

How they got to Nationals

SLSG Elite 01 (MO) heads to Nationals after claiming the National League Blue Division title with a 5-1-0 record. SLSG then decided to take on the Midwest Regional Championships and earned a perfect 3-0-0 through group play. SLSG showed it can play the whole 90 minutes in the semifinals and scored a late second half game winner to earn a 2-1 victory over Club Ohio 01 Green (OH-S) for a shot at the final. SLSG earned the Midwest Regional title after defeating Galaxy 2001 Blue (IL) with a 6-0 score line while displaying their versatility as six different players scored the goals.

McLean Green 01 (VA) advances to Nationals after topping the National League Red Division with a 5-0-1 record. McLean scored a Red Division high 18 goals while only allowing four on the way to its National League title. McLean Green will be looking repeat the success of the McLean 00 Green team from the 2016 National Championships.

National League White: Oklahoma Energy FC 01 Central (OK)

How they got to Nationals

Oklahoma Energy FC 01 Central (OK) is making its first US Youth Soccer National Championships appearance after earning the National League White Division title. Oklahoma Energy had to face three of the teams competing at Nationals in its National League Group. Oklahoma earned two wins and one tie during National League play against those three teams, which should bolster its confidence headed into Nationals.
