By winning the recent US Youth Soccer Connecticut State Championships, two Fairfield, Conn., area soccer teams have qualified to compete in the US Youth Soccer Region I (East) Championships, presented by the National Guard.

The 2012 US Youth Soccer Region I (East) Championships presented by the National Guard, to be played June 28 – July 3, will provide an estimated economic impact of more than $15 million to the Lancaster, Pa., area. Local restaurants, hotels, retail stores and others will benefit from the more than 4,500 players, coaches, teams and tournament officials, who also bring along their families to the six-day tournament. Visitors to the Lancaster, Pa., area will book an estimated 10,000 room nights.
