Notes from a few of today's games…

Under-18 Boys of Ohio North's Everest faced St. Louis Scott Gallagher who looked to knockoff the defending champs.  Off a set piece, Scott Gallagher's Brian Schultz directed a header past the Everest keeper in the 19th minute giving Gallagher entry into tomorrow's final with the 1-0 win.

Under-18 Boys, Lou Fusz of Missouri accepted the challenge that came with facing the defending champs in Javanon from Kentucky. Kyle Schichel put Javanon on the scoreboard in the 15th minute, which paved the way for his team as the Kentucky boys added two more.  Down 3-0, Jacob Macker of Fusz retaliated in the 35th minute, but his single score wasn't enough as Javanon advances with the 4-1 win.

St. Louis Scott Gallagher stood in the way of KCFC Intensity's bid to defend their regional title in one of the Under-16 Girls semifinals.  Abbey Stock of Scott Gallagher scored in the 11th minute.  KCFC's  Madelyn Buckner hit the equalizer in the 51st minute but it was Stock again in the 101st minute to break the tie (2-1) and move Scott Gallagher into tomorrow's final knocking off the defending champs.

Under-16 Girls Cleveland FC faced Eclipse Select in a game that looked to be one-sided early with a Jaclyn Campo score in the 4th minute.  Eclipse would battle back seeking an equalizer of their own but it was Kelsey Smigel's insurance goal in the 79th that sent Cleveland into the finals with the 2-0 win over Eclipse.

Under-14 Boys Team Ohio faced another St. Louis Scott Gallagher team in today's semis and it was Gallagher's Zachary Hundelt serving as the difference maker scoring in the 10th and 56th minutes for the 2-0 win.

US Youth Soccer National Leaguers, Under-17 Girls Eclipse Select, who are already in for the national championships via the League, from Illinois met Kansas' Blue Valley Stars as both teams sought the regional title.  Blue Valley's Ashley Catrell scored two in the match but Eclipse Select's Vanessa Laxgang trumped Catrells two goals with three of her own including the game winner in the 81st for the 4-3 Eclipse win.

Michigan's Vardar Under-17 Girls faced Ohio North's Internationals. Grabbing the lead in the 19th minute, Rebecca Candler of the Internationals scored only goal of the game—retrieving a spot for the Internationals in the regional finals with the  1-0 win.
